Aloha! Welcome to The Perfectly Grown Classroom!
My name is Karen Kauo, an Instructional Specialist in Orange County, California. I have 25 years of classroom teaching experience in all grade levels K-5, with the majority of my experience in grades 3-5.
For the past 2 school years, I have supported the staff and students of my elementary school as an Instructional Specialist providing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). I have been creating curriculum to supplement district adopted materials for the majority of my teaching career. The teacher community is amazing! I have adopted many strategies and skills from other teachers. I put my own spin on them...and away we go!

I live in southern California with my husband (also a teacher). I am the proud mom of two adult sons. Now that they have "flown" the nest, I have time to focus on doing things for me. This website is my opportunity to share my experiences with you. Lots of good things are coming!
The Story of
Perfectly Grown
When looking for a name for my company, I wanted something that represented my philosophy as a teacher and could resonate with others. I am a lifelong learner. I am not averse to change. I am always growing.
So, I asked myself, “How can I communicate this through my company name?”

While searching the internet for something that would spark an idea I came across a quote about short people. Being only 5 feet tall, the following quote resonated with me.
“We continue to grow until we are perfect, some of us don’t take as long as others.”
And so Perfectly Grown was born.
